Gourds or pumpkins?

My husband and I are having an argument  (not big one lol) but he says these are one thing and I say they are the other. What do you say these called?

I believe you're both right... Pumpkins are in the gourd family.

Mini pumpkins are actually gourds. Gourds is usually used by botanists and those who study plants lol

To us normal folk, they are mini pumpkins. So you both are correct 😉
