Help with BBT

Hey ladies, so Ive decided to give recording my bbt since its taking a little longer than expected to conceive. But I'm getting myself a bit muddled up with it!

Im reading online that naturally you are meant to be between 97 -98f but im only 95 when I wake up? Is that normal?

Also I get that im supposed to keep a look out for a slight rise in temperature, which (I think) shows that I have ovulated already. But this morning I was higher by 0.5 degrees. .. does that mean I ovulated? Or will I only know when I temp again tomorrow morning? I will take a an opk This afternoon, but as of yesterday the surge wasn't matching the test line.
