Baby showers
Having baby showers before the baby is born is very popular these days but my family insists its bad luck and better to have one after the baby is born.
Now, I'm not quite as superstitious but I have to say I like the idea of a "meet the baby" baby shower instead. Not only is it a great time to get all those visits out of the way at once but then people will know the gender, the size for clothing or diapers, and I have to say it was great getting so many pop in the oven freezer meals.
What's everyone else's take on baby showers? And if there's different culturally traditions involved I'd love to hear them.
