I had no idea this was even a thing. Now I'm going to panic.

I guess I get to treat myself lol I'm throwing my own baby shower; Don't really speak to my side of the family and they don't "have time" to help out .

I didn't know this was a thing either. I had 2 showers and didn't buy anyone anything. They are my friends and family and were happy to throw my shower. I don't feel it is necessary to give them a gift and I think they would think it was weird if I got them something. Of course I sent thank you cards to everyone.

I am making each a gift basket with homemade soap, room spray and bath salts. I am using young living essential oils to do it. Very excited about it and it will keep my costs down. I have seven hosts so I couldn't do big things with my limited budget. My shower is November 7 so I made a tester of the room spray yesterday to see if my mom likes it before I make more or adjust that recipe. My advice, find something that works for you. Get crafty if you are that kind of person. Before I decided to make my own gift, I was going to go get some cool platters for each of them from pier one or something like that,

I did coffee mugs and lip balm from anthro for my work shower hostesses, thinking of doing bath bombs from Lush for the hostesses of my family shower.

My sister hosted, another sister and three friends contributed so I got them all umbrellas for "showering" the baby and me!

I have to get my host (my sister ) something amazing! My shower is going to be coed and about 150 people! I'm thinking liquor or a gift card but I haven't decided. When would be appropriate to give it to her? During or after the shower?

A nephew! Lol! My sister has been planning weddings, showers, events for years. Now she's starting her own business. So her company has the rights to use my shower as advertisement. And she gets a nephew.
