How much to feed baby?

I am going back to work next week 😫 and will be leaving my daughter with her dad. She is ebf so how do I know how much milk to but in a bottle for her? I don't want to put to much then have to throw it away!!

It actually doesn't depend on age- your milk will change with the baby's age. General rule of thumb is one oz/hour so if you typically nurse every 3 hours, then a 3oz bottle every 3 hours is good. If you're gone 12 hours, 12 oz. You'll want to make sure that whoever is feeding baby is aware that breast milk is not the same as formula so you don't need 4-5oz at a time- it's way to over feed a breast fed baby, Kellymom.com has great resources.

It all depends on your baby. I only give my daughter what I pumped the day before. So if I pump 3 times and get a total of 10 oz, she gets three bottles. One from the morning pump, one from the afternoon pump, and one from the last pump. 
If your little one doesn't drink it all you can offer a more bottles with smaller amounts.
The first few days will be a bit of trial and error but you'll figure out what works for your family :)

All babies are different and eat different amounts at different times so that's a tough question to answer. I believe my first daughter at that age was eating 4oz to 5oz of breast milk in a bottle every 2 hours or so. However, she had a really bad acid reflux problem and would spit up almost half her bottles, which is why she was probably eating more at more frequent intervals than the average baby.
