6 week ultrasound - no baby?

Question

Just did an ultrasound. Hormone levels I got 2 weeks ago suggested I'd be 6 or 7 weeks along now. The ultrasound showed a sac but no baby. Is this normal?  I cried like a baby when we got to the car. They said they needed me back in 2 weeks.

I went through the same thing. Had to have a d&c last Friday, it was a blighted ovum & 10 weeks 3 days. So sorry you're going through this. I just lost my first pregnancy/baby, it's so hard.

Same happened to me also, its not nice and so heartbreaking... unfortunatly it wasnt a good outcome for me. But it can be completly fine also! Please keep positive hun, i wish you the best outcome!

Doc said I am too early to see anything. I miscarried on August 3rd and never had a period. It was about 7 weeks after the miscarriage when I got my BFP. They're estimating I'm about 5-6 weeks right now instead of 7 weeks. Ordered another ultrasound in 2 weeks.

Best of luck and lots of baby dust! Same happen to me and I have a happy healthy almost 4month old. Like you I left and cried because my dr was insisting the possibility of a blighted ovum because he suspected I was further along but was only 5weeks
