Baby shower

I don't know how to handle my baby shower. My mother has decided she must throw one for me. I included my family, my husbands family and some close family friends in the invitations for the coed shower and we invited about forty people. About thirty said they're coming (WAY more than I ever thought possible) but she's totally been chewing me out over how many people are coming and how big of a nightmare it's going to be. I've politely suggested many times that maybe we should have it at my apartments clubhouse instead of in her own home and she keeps refusing so what do I do? This shouldn't be a stressful thing but she's making me wish I wasn't having a shower.
