How would I know??

How do I know if the pill is working for me? I know some people have to switch pills or try a different brand because it doesn't work for them, what does that mean exactly?

Doesn't work meaning side effects that are not your every day norm. •heavy bleeding •clots during period •weight gain •headaches •cramps etc. The pill still works 99% for contraception. That isn't what they're referring to when they say that.

"Doesn't work" means causing adverse side effects. All birth control pills work, with 99.7% efficacy, at preventing pregnancy.

Some people switch pills for various reasons. I switched to progestogen only because I was having symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Some people switch because of side effects such as acne or nausea or headaches or whatever, it just helps sometimes to try something new to see if it will reduce those side effects:)
