BFP?! When to go to Drs?

This was my test yesterday. I've taken more than I'd like to admit, and all were similar to this. My question is, when do I go to the doctor? And do they do a urine test or blood? Thanks in advance! Super excited/nervous!

Every doc is different. Some will see you right away. Mine waited until 7 weeks and I think it's because a lot of times you can't see a fetal pole or yolk sac too early and they don't want people freaking out for no reason. Some will do a blood test to monitor hcg levels, some will just do an ultrasound, some do both. I would call right away and they will tel you how soon you can come in

They usually do a urine test to confirm it. Then blood work to check your levels of hcg, progesterone, etc. They'll do this at your first prenatal appointment. Some like where I live advise us to call and gat an appointment as soon as we get a BFP. Then they schedule you for an ultrasound 1-2 weeks later to make sure your far enough along to see something because the dating can be off since they go by a typical 28 day cycle to get your EDD when some women have longer cycles... I'd call your ob and get an appointment for whenever they can get you in (depending on where you live). Good luck

Congratulations! My doctor is seeing me around 6 weeks after my LMP.  I know he plans to do blood work during our first appt (it's actually a new doctor for me). I did blood work when I was pregnant with my son too. ☺️ good luck!
