Baby Carrier

What wrap/sling/carrier would you recommend for a first time mom and that works great with a newborn.

Lillebaby for a soft structured carrier. No infant insert, can wear starting at 7lbs. If you want a stretchy wrap, go with K'tan or Moby.

I'm getting a Wrapsody stretch hybrid - benefits of a woven wrap (will last longer/ carry bigger weight, can do back carries) but still stretchy and cuddly for a newborn

Make sure whatever brand you choose has your babies legs wrap around you rather than just hang down. Hanging puts pressure on the pelvis and can sometimes cause hip problems.

Newborn - moby or similar.  They even make the ones that are easier to put on than having to wrap around and around yourself if that part is intimidating.  It the perfect snuggle, skin on skin, breastfeeding carrier too if you need hands free. You'll need a different carrier as they get older though, then I recommend an ergonomic one, Ergo 360, or similar, there are lots of brands now that carry them now and they are way worth the $ (and I'm a huge cheapskate).

I have had 3 kids use my ergo - still in great shape! Those things are built to last. You pay for quality!

Ergobaby with infant insert. Then you can take the insert out and use it as it is when baby is older.

FTM- I use the wrapsody wrap, it keeps my LO close and comfy and it has alot of different ways to wrap it. My LO has gas issues so it's nice to be able to have him in the burping position while still being able to eat and keep my house in a semi-clean state 🙌 plus I can also keep him in it while he nurses! He LOVES it and it's easy to pack into his diaper bag for on-the-go 😊

Ergo baby! They are pricey but they can be carried on your front or back and mine goes up to 45 pounds.
