Proposing for us has been a drawn out process. First were rolling, and it popped into our heads at the same time, so we danced around that we would get married and then we also recorded a video for our future baby too.

I waited again while we were sober. Whenever we were in the supermarket line after that, he would ask me to marry him to shock the cashiers. Haha.

He asked my family this Thankgiving, and we picked out our rings together.

I told him he can hide it in an Oyster shell (as we were eating Oysters), or make a treasure hunt if he wants - but it's not necessary! I like that we do things in an equal and nonchalant funny way. :D

P.s. I'm 26 and he is 31. We have been to his friends weddings too. It feels very natural.

Not really much to tell. I've knew pretty much from the beginning that we would get married. We were laying on my bed talking about the future and when would be a good time to get married. We were debating between 2017 and 2018 and I said something along the lines of I'll agree to 2018 if we got engaged by the end of this year. He asked if the beginning of next year was okay because money was tight for us right now and it would probably be then before he could afford a ring. I replied "who says you have to have the ring to propose?" He then grabbed my ring finger, pretended to slide a ring on and said "in that case, we are engaged". I asked if he was playing or being serious because we almost do nothing  normal. He said what if I'm being serious. I told him I would change my Facebook status right then and there.  He said as long as people couldn't see it right now (he wanted to keep it between us a few days) then to go ahead and change my my status. That was Halloween. I got to announce it on november 2nd. We bought the ring today and are having it sized. Will get to finally wear it in 2-4 weeks. Just in time for Christmas.

He took me to where we had our first date (the zoo) and it was all lit up for Christmas. He did his hair and bought me a new outfit to wear. Once we were there, he took me to where it was all lit up with Christmas lights and proposed. I heard sniffling and I looked over and my whole entire family and his entire family was standing there. They were following us around the entire time.

He asked me multiple times if o would be his wife. Nothing really to them, just casually asking. Then one day, we were at home (lived with my mom) i was sitting on the couch on my laptop, focused. He came up to me and moved my laptop to the stand next to me. I smiled and put it back on my lap. He took it again, this time shut it as well. I looked up at him. He was on his knee in a white wife beater a-shirt. He grabbed my hand, and i still wasn't clicking what was going on. And then he proposed to me, with a ring in hand. 
It was wonderful. We had always talked about how we weren't into getting engaged on holidays or things like that. I would not change the way he did it for the world, and i never saw it coming.
