Birth plans?

Has anyone thought about how and where they want to give birth yet? I know laying in a bed isn't exactly the best position to give birth in,  and I'm thinking about asking my OB if he works with the natural birthing center that our local hospital does have because it is sounding pretty nice. Do you think it is ever to early to ask about it?

Just curious, do the hospitals actually follow your birth plan? I feel like they roll their eyes and end up doing what they want, and if something bad is happening everything goes out the window anyway lol. I want to make a birth plan but just wondering how far they follow it.

I asked and am thinking about it because I want the chance to have a vaginal birth after a c-section. I can't have a vbac where I live have to go over an hour or two away.  So right now the plan is to transfer doctors right before birth and drive to Phoenix or Flagstaff. I would love a water birth!

I have started to think about it, but am going to hold off asking until I can do a bit more independent research. If you want to ask, then it is not to early for you. In fact if your ob doesn't have privledges where you want to deliver you may want to find someone else.

I really want a natural birth this go around after two csections. I hope my birth plan is able to be followed through when the time comes!! Most hospitals are good about following, you just have to be on top of them sometimes.  Good luck on your whole journey!

I want to go to a birthing centre so badly, unfortunately I have no say in the matter. 😞 Unless I want a home birth, which I don't.

I did a lot of research my last pregnancy and had a natural birth in the hospital. This time, we are planning on a home birth if we can find the right midwife for us.
