Latching problems anyone??

My daughter is five days old, and she is so little she can hardly latch onto my nipple so I'm blistering something awful! She hated the nipple shield and I've been pumping to increase my supply because she only eats a small amount at each feeding, because it's too much work for my lazy princess! Lol what I'm wandering is if any of you ladies have had the same issue and if you know of any tricks that can help decrease my discomfort while feeding. I want to be able to enjoy this bond with my daughter like I did with her older sister, but this is making it so difficult.
