Swollen breasts?

So, I came off the pill in March when my husband and I got married. I've been on the pill for about 4-5 years. The last two months when it's PMS/AF time, my breasts get very swollen and I'm a hysterical, crying mess. I've developed light acne. That never happened before, neither when I was on the pill or before. I've had a very light, very short, mostly brown period the last few times and we have had unprotected sex multiple times. Is this just a side effect of coming off the pill or could I possibly be pregnant and just spotting? I know there are a million "stupid questions" on here a day and the answer is always to take a test, but I just don't know what's normal and what's not for my body anymore.
