Can the weather temperature affect your BBT temperature??

I live in Southern California and we've been going through a heat wave. It's been over 100° the last two days and in the high 90s a few days before that. I normally take my temps at 530am and I was sweating my ass off that early. I should be ovulating soon being as I'm on CD14. I usually ovulated CD14-16. I've also been using OPKs and I haven't detected a surge yet. Did the heat cause the big jump in temps.
