I like the name River for a boy, but not Bear River that's just my opinion though go with whatever your heart desires it is your child after all☺️ good luck!

I adore the name bear and our little one would have been Bear except it's a girl! I just don't like both of those names together. The two r's right in a row throw me off. Here are some equally awesome nature-y middles:

Bear Alder
Bear Cypress

All the nature names I love are one syllable so it's hard to match with Bear.

I love Both names but not together. Bear River is a place. Maybe River Bear instead. Or Bjorn is Norse for Bear.

It sounds like a location not a name. There is surely an actual river called bear river. I also cannot imagine a grown man with the name bear
