Marriage Crazy?

Anyone else who wants to be engaged/married and is driving your SO crazy with it? Me and my SO were talking about marriage and I asked him how long is he going to make me wait and he seemed slightly irritated that I was asking him. I was jokingly doing it but I think he fears marriage to an extent. Tell me about your experiences ladies :)

They don't want to be pressured. You need to be content with where your relationship stands before moving on to the next step. If you are constantly trying to get to the next step, to them it might seem like you aren't happy unless you get there. Especially if you've already agreed that it will happen sometime in the near future. Just let him make the next move on his own. He may really want the element of surprise to not be lost.

Hubby and I dated for over 6 years before we got engaged. I also used to drive him insane talking about it and asking him about it. Then one day I just stopped. Stopped asking him about it, stopped talking about it all together. Then HE started to bring it up. And shortly after he proposed. You don't want to push him into marriage, it will only come back to bite you later. He needs to do it when he's ready. Believe me, I know how hard that is, but it's honestly for the best! Good luck!

My SO and I already knew marriage was in our future, just didn't know when. Then somehow in conversation we decided 2015 sounded like a good year... Then through more casual conversation we thought we'd just keep our anniversary date the same. So we had a date, but he was in charge of the proposal and the ring, he hinted one to me that he knew how and when he was going to propose, yet knowing that I was still surprised when he did :).

Guys don't like to be asked these things, they don't mind talking about marriage and futures (well if they're mature and see those sort of plans with you anyway) but DON'T push it. The more you pressure a guy, the more likely they are to hold off or possibly even run. A guy will propose when he feels he's ready to propose and only then. For now just be content with where you are in the relationship - if he brings it up so be it but don't push else you will push him away and he'll just think you're obsessed & that never ends well

We dated 7 years before getting engaged. I would never pressure him, but would randomly say, ahh my left hand is so light! Or throw out my ring size joking around 😂. When he finally proposed it was the perfect size; looked like he actually listened! 👍

When I was engaged I would literally cry to my husband about how everyone I knew was married & we're having babies & I didn't want to wait longer lol but looking back I'm happy that we waited & how everything turned out. We were engaged for 2 years

We had a very weird circumstance where we never really did a proposal or anything. Before we got together neither of us wanted marriage. And shortly after we finally got together (after wanting to be together 6 years) we just started talking about it and one thing led to another and we went to the courthouse and got married. I have severe anxiety so I'd never want a ceremony lol. If I could have done it online I would have been even happier lmao
