Giving blood while pregnant.?

Okay so I'm all for giving blood and donating plasma, its for a good cause (and it gets me out of class for a little lol) but I was wondering if its okay to give blood while your pregnant, I have "good veins" according to the nurses that draw my blood and am done within 10 minutes, would it still be okay do donate while pregnant.?

I work as a phlebotomist at a local plasma center , and you can't donate plasma while pregnant , and you are not eligible to donate after pregnancy for 6 months. I'm not sure about blood, but I would assume no.

I highly doubt it - they take quite a lot of your blood and you need that to help transfer nutrients to baby. You could ring and check with the donor centre though.

I was told by our local blood institute that I couldn't donate while pregnant.

You're not allowed to give blood whilst pregnant and for several months after birth. I give blood and it states this on their booklets.
