Anal sex during pregnancy to do or not to do?

So from about 12 weeks of pregnancy I have been crazy in the mood for anal. But I read on a mommy form not to do anal during pregnancy. So I was wondering if anyone else has done it or has more info on anal and pregnancy. I usually don't "love" anal but I'm very very much in the mood for it and I'm a little embarrassed to ask my OB about it.

From what my doctor told me having anal can cause contractions. You'd be rubbing the uterus more with anal than having vaginal sex.

I would say with the increased blood flow everywhere the risk for nasty hemorrhoids is high.

Maybe a lil TMI but i was wanting it too so we did and i even bought top of the line lube which numbs as well but afterwards i got bad case of hemroids and iv never had em wit any of my other 4 pregnancies so im deff not doing that again...Big mistake on my part just a warning!!!

I'm sure you've looked it up but my rule of thumb is that if there is any back and forth between "yes" and "no" I stay away from it. Like wine, too many websites saying it's not safe for me to be comfortable to do it. I would feel way too guilty. Do some research and if you're still unsure, ask your doctor. They hear questions like that all the time. No need to be embarrassed.
