Question! Advice please!

Okay so I just started talking to this guy. Nothing serious, just as friends. He told me he was married but they're in the process of splitting up. I want to believe him but I'm so used to being lied to I don't know what to think. What do you guys think? He talks to me when he is at home and work. Like all the time. And if he was married, I don't think he would talk to me all that much. So what do you guys think? Should I keep talking to him and see where things go?
