Severe cramping and Diarrhea

(Possible TMI warning)... I am just over 8 weeks pregnant and last night I woke up in screaming pain from extremely painful cramping. It lasted for a little over half an hour before I finally felt the need to go to the bathroom. I went and it took a while but I finally had a bit of diarrhea. The cramping subsided after that to the point I could finally sleep again. I woke up this morning and felt cramping again, not as severe but still quite painful, but I don't feel the need to go to the bathroom again. I haven't had any bleeding so far. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what ended up being wrong?
