Cautiously optimistic...?
Okay, so here's my update. Had the repeat ultrasound this morning. The defect/ cystic area looks about the same size. Maybe a tiny bit smaller(?), but it was my doctor doing the ultrasound today vs a tech last time, so who knows. The good news is my myometrium (uterine muscle wall) definitely looks thicker to my doctor... Meaning: less risk of uterine rupture. I will have an MRI on Sunday to make sure surrounding structures (bowel, bladder) are not in the way... Then my doctors will talk to discuss the best way to drain it. It will most likely fill back up with fluid eventually. They will test the fluid to see if they can determine what it is.
The hope is (if they can successfully drain it, and my myometrium still remains thicker) then we'd be able to try to get pregnant. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, without getting my hopes up.
Love you all & would love to hear updates from everyone!
