SO never compliments my cooking

When we first started going together 6 years ago he did most of the cooking. He is a very good cook, makes these extravagant meals and also used to work in an Italian restaurant. About 2 years ago I started really stepping up my cooking game. I like classic meals but I also like to experiment with new dishes found on pinterest. He never and I mean NEVER tells me it's good without me prompting him first. Does anyone else go through this ?
