I need to rant and this seems to be the only available safe place to do it.

I can agree that every child that is born is a gift from God. Those who are born with health issues, those 'Angel' babies who are born to drug-addicted mom's and who influence their behaviors enough to turn their lives around, the babies who are adopted and provide hope for parents who would have not been able to conceive otherwise.

But then there are those parents out there who pop out children like it's a new trend, then continue their awful behaviors. In the last 24 hours, I have learned of two women who are pregnant, again. One has a four year old special needs child that she is physically and emotionally abusive to on a daily basis. DCF has been called numerous times with no action. She is a horrible person and an even more terrible mother. The other has been addicted to drugs and alcohol for 15+ years, this will be her 9th child, all of which are either dead, in foster care or adopted. She served 12 years in prison/hospitals for killing two of her babies, another two years in prison for attempting to sell a set of triplets and has been in and out of rehab. The only reason she found out she was pregnant was because she overdosed on heroin and ended up in the hospital. Two days later, she was back for another overdose.

I cannot for the life of me understand why these kinds of people continue to get pregnant and reproduce. I am so hurt right now- partially from my guilt for even feeling this way and partially because I want, and deserve, a baby so badly.
