Sophie the Giraffe (Gift)

I know the question has been asked before about Sophie the Giraffe but I was given one at a baby shower even though it wasn't on my registry. I was told I "have to have this" for my baby because it's the "best teether out there". I had never even heard of Sophie before someone asked on here. Has anyone actually used the toy with baby yet? Does anyone have any positive/negative views? Would you keep it if you were me or take it back?
