We are Mothers - Pregnancy & Infant Loss (a day late)

Chloe • 🌈Stetson Titus born 5/4/16. 3 in my heart, 1 in my arms.

Her name is Kara, and we've been BFFs for nearly two year now. We met in a support group for pregnancy and infant loss after I had my twins.

Kara has lost six little ones to miscarriage and stillbirth. Her first loss was at 22+3 weeks on 6/23/11. His name was Cody Nolan. Her second was on 1/14/12 at 18+4 weeks. Her name was Ashlyn Genevieve. Her third was on 10/27/12 at 24+4 weeks. Her name was Eden Willow. Her fourth loss was on 3/17/14 at 12+6 weeks. His name was Jude Bennett. Her fifth was on 12/9/14 at 21+2 weeks. Her name was Scarlett Honor. Her sixth and hopefully last loss was on 5/22/15 at 8+1. He was given the name Henry Noah.

She had pathology testing on all six. They cannot find a reason why she has lost child after child. They called her pregnancies "flukes."

She plans on trying one last time, using IVF to get the healthiest of embryos, before they start the adoption process.

I lost my daughter Faith at 9+4 weeks on 2/17/09, and my twins Aubrey and Carson at 17+5 on 12/4/13. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby.

Pregnancy and infant loss is something that no woman, or man, should have to go through. I have felt the horrid, empty feeling of my child being torn from my womb too soon. I have felt the pain and sorrow of delivering my son and daughter still. I don't know why. Kara doesn't know why. I hated when people told me things like "these things happen" or "you're young, you can have another" or when doctors or anyone in general calls my child a "fluke."

The feeling of losing your child is something no other woman should have to relate to. Ladies, I AM SO GENUINELY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSSES. I HOPE WE ALL CAN GET OUR RAINBOWS🌈, BUT LET'S PLEASE NEVER FORGET WHAT WE LOST.

WE ARE MOTHERS REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOUR KIDS ARE.

I AM A MOTHER.

Wow that got a tad lengthy!
