How did you eat your steaks while pregnant?

I have heard different answers everywhere about how I can eat my steak. And my SO refuses to let me eat any steak that isn't burnt to a crisp. I can't stand it. I've been suffering with morning sickness and can hardly eat as it is and now I can't eat what I really want?!?! GAHHH. I understand rare is bad. Even medium rare. But medium? Medium well done?

I had a steak at a restaurant last night, and after 30 mins of googling and worrying, had it medium rare. I usually eat it blue so this was a challenge for me! Apparently, as long as the outside of the steak is cooked, it kills the bacteria that cause toxoplasmosis, however, ground beef (burgers) have to be cooked through as the outside of the beef is ground up with the inside. If that makes sense! All I'm craving is rare steak! I can't deny my body all that yummy proteins haha!

I cannot eat meat thats pink ewww! I get completely GROSSED out! I need everything well done & unless i cant eat it & i always think im going to get sick lols

Needs to be heated to 160° in the center. 
I love steak but I will NOT eat it well done so I'm just going to have to avoid it the whole pregnancy. Same with tuna and salmon which I also eat medium rare. It sucks but better than eating the meats well done.

I love my meat well done. I can't eat meat w pink in it. It grosses me out.

My husband was crazy about this with our first pregnancy. It always had to be well done! :( second pregnancy I could have my medium rare. He settled down quite a bit! Same with this pregnancy, I can do what I want. :)

My husband isn't letting me eat any meat unless it's cooked well done. I'm normally a medium rare kinda gal too so losing all that flavor with having it cooked well done is keeping me away from my beloved burgers and steaks.

My steaks are always medium, that's the only way we cook them in this house.. I have 3 happy healthy kids and quite honestly I've never followed the can't eat or drink this or that.. Except with alcohol..

Unless my steak is still mooing then it is burnt and I don't eat burnt steak so while pregnant I can't have steak :( I told my husband last pregnancy when I have this kid you are taking me out for a steak and margarita he never did though :'( the really sad part is when we visit my FIL he makes great steaks but i will have to miss out.

You really cannot get food poisoning from steak, chicken yes, pork yes, beef no, lamb no. I eat it rare, in fact I crave it rare.
