Heavy bleeding after transvaginal ultrasound

I'm 8weeks 3 day. I spotted with camps so I went to ER/labor & delivery which is at TX children's hospital woman pavilion where my doc is. So not just some regular ER doc. These people know what they are doing. Had a transvaginal ultrasound, heard heartbeat. It was strong 163. Saw baby on ultrasound. Doc said all was well and I may see some old blood. I leave get home and now I can't stop bleeding & still cramping. It's heavy like a super heavy period. Nurse told me to monitor for tonight. Anyone else have this problem after a transvaginal ultrasound???
