Our little angel Athena was born October, 17th at 4:27 am weighing a whole 9lbs 15 ounces. After being in early labour for 4 days was finally admitted in to the hospital on the 16th when contractions were finally minutes apart. October 16th was actually her estimated due date. After 14 hours of labour and having to have my water broken which wasn't a sucess to speed up contractions they gave me the oxytocin medication which got things going for us. Went from 6 cm dilation to a pretty quick 9 and a half in no time and was ready to push shortly after. It was a rough labour abit considering the one nurse messed up my epidural causing him to have to re do it about 8 times because it just wasnt working, and then they had to re do my cathetor twice, and they couldnt seem to place my ivs in right the first time. In the end the epidural didn't really work for me. This was my first child and all I can say is Im so proud of myself for all the pain I endured but in the end nothing else mattered when they placed her right in to my arms as soon as she came out. It was all worth it, we love you so much baby girl!
