Lady advice needed!

Hey ladies, I went on the pill for one month after a condom failure. The pill gave me horrible side effects and twos days ago I took the last pill of the packet and yesterday i didn't begin the new one that my doctor prescribed me. Today I'm tempted to start with the new one. Here's the problem: after I take the last pill of the packet I should wait a 7 day suspension period. My doctor told me to start the new one after 7 days. However, on the instructions it says that wen you're switching pills, you shouldn't do the pause and take it straight away. What do you think? What if I took it today, after a day pause?
