So I had mirena inserted 3 days ago. I also had this after my second baby for four years and had no issues so thought I'd get it again. I've had off and on cramping since insertion.  Today I had sudden and extreme pains. After a few hours I got a hold of the on call doc. She said it could be coming out or infected or my body is still trying to get use to it. She had me check to feel for it and I couldn't feel anything so she said to take ibuprofen and come into the office in the am. It's still very painful. Has anyone else experienced this? I just want it out at this point. What methods of BC are ya'll using. I'm somewhat limited as I'm nursing baby.
