I have a Mirena IUD in a box and I'm unsure about it?

I read a lot of reviews, and I'm kind of scared about it. I read about weight gain and acne and pain and reduced libido, which has me kind of nervous. Anyone have any experience with it?

I had the IUD 2 times. The first it came out on its own with my sycle a year layer (same month). The second my DR. Recommended it (I didn't want it, but she convinced me) so got it put in. About a year later I felt hotible. I felt depression back pain my skin was so dry and my hair was falling not to say I gains about 40lb. I was the biggest I've ever been even bigger then my pregnancy.I felt so bad I spoke to my Dr ( she didn't to anything) so I went phycologists he gave me some antidepressants (I didn't take any) got the IUD taken out in August. Went back to my phycologists and told him I didn't take anything and I got my IUD taken out, and I felt a lot better.  Anyway he told me he wanted me to get some blood work done and my thyroid levels came back I have under active thyroid. I had never had this problem before. Its only been 6 weeks and I feel way better. I lost 16lb and hope my thyroid can be bc of the IUD. Lots of women that had IUD develop thyroid problems. Please look up the all the side affects before you are sure that's what you want. Co to the Canada side effects page it will tell you things the US site didn't have. Good luck.
