Ultimately you all need to talk each other and be open but if you're not ready to bring it up with him yet ask yourself if he goes out of his way to help you, if he's genuinely interested in your life (e.g. asking about your day, how you're feeling, wants to know more about you,) and if you spend most of your time with each other.
