Did you labor start naturally???😩😩😩

I'm starting to get frustrated I'm 39w 1d pregnant with my second and nothing's happening. At my appointment last week my cervix was high and I was only 1cm dilated. My question is did you ladies water break or contractions start on their own? My first pregnancy I got induced at 38/39 weeks so I have no idea of what I'm looking for....Any advise would be helpful right now.

I just delivered on Saturday. All day Friday I was crampy and felt weird. I literally walked for about an hour and had intercourse that night. About 3am I turned over in bed and water just broke.

I have been induced with my first cause of pitocin my water broke so Dr. waited 22 hours for baby to come itself but she didn't cause she was at -3 station didn't dropped down at all so I ended up c-section. with my first I had contractions but I didn't feel at all no pain or pressure in the beginning but after 4th doze I feel lots of pressure n pain mixed feeling couldn't describe man so I took the epidural that make pressure worse for me but I patiently went through😊

With my second, I am gestational diabetes & taking a pill to control my sugar. Last time I had no problem at all... so Dr. don't want to pass 39w they are afraid baby will get big; so far she is normal weight so if I will go in labor by myself that's awesome IF NOT they have already scheduled c-section at 38w6d...

With my first, I was past due and the doctor scheduled an induction for a Monday.  The Friday night before, I went into labor!  At midnight I kept feeling like I had an upset stomach, and after the third confused trip to the bathroom I realized they were contractions.  You never know.

The second was late and required an induction, so I've had both experiences.

You honestly just have to roll with it.  Going into labor is an exciting experience, and it feels good that your baby picked the arrival time.  Being induced is convenient for planning purposes but you feel like you're forcing your baby out.  Pluses and minuses all the way around.

My first was born at 41 weeks. 
I'm 39 wks tomorrow with my second.

Maybe try having your membranes stripped? My labor had started with my first and when I went in they said I wasn't dilated enough so they stripped them and then labor kicked in strong.

I went in to get Induced at 40+5 not knowing I was in labor on my own. My water had ruptured and I had no idea. I went to L&D 3 weeks ago with suspicion my water broke but they weren't really sure since there were no gushes just little drops. So they didn't do anything about it. My baby girls heart rate was 190+ because of bacteria I'd been walking around for 3 weeks with ruptured waters!! 
My contractions started before I even could get pitocin so I did it on my own! 
All in all give yourself some time you'll definitely go in on your own.

I feel like you just described me perfectly, we have so much in common! 39+2 with baby #2, last week cervix was 1cm and high. Only difference was my 1st baby came naturally at 38+2. I expected/was hoping to be early again with this baby. No such signs. With my first though, it all happened within 24 hrs of her being born (Braxton hicks, lost mucus plug, contractions, dilation, water breaking then delivery). Hang in there girl, you aren't alone and it can all change in an instant!

I was induced with my first as well at 41+4 because my body wasn't doing anything on its own. With my second I used evening primrose oil to help soften my cervix and did go into labor on my own at 41 weeks. I didn't have any signs before labor started. No mucus plug, loose stool, etc. I did have some cramping from my membrane sweeps but that was it. Labor just started suddenly for me. I'm 39 weeks today with my third and aside from quite a few braxton hicks, there's nothing going on for me.

With my first I had no early signs of labor was feeling fine then bam contractions started and were 5 minutes apart off the bat.
