Hey, So I had gestational diabetes with my first baby, they tested for it at 24 weeks. But they told me I'd most likely have it again with other pregnancies & that it would probably DEVELOPE EARLIER the next time. So I always remebered that. Now, 2 yrs later I'm pregnant again & I have a different OB entirely.. so I made extra sure to inform him that I had GD during my first pregnancy. I was still only weeks along so he didn't do much but take note of it. At 13 weeks along I reminded him again about the GD, because I knew it can develope earlier the second time around. But he still acted as if it's not a concern yet & told me I'd be tested for it later on. So then again at around 18 weeks along I reminded him AGAIN that i had GD before, cause I was supprised he still hadn't mentioned any testing yet. But again he told me I would be tested later on (around 24 weeks). And I remember thinkin it seemed strange that he planned to test me around the same time they would test a girl who hasn't already had it before. So now here I am at 23 weeks, dealing with the feeling of up & down blood sugar levels and weakness and faintness throughout the day, & I just feel like I should have been tested for this WEEK'S ago!! What do you all think?? Am I just being paranoid or would you feel the same? All I know is when I see him again next week he better have that test scheduled or I'm gonna be pissed. It makes me worry about my baby every time I get feeling faint & dizzy & weak.
