Inducing?????

I'm 39 wks right now and my doctor is already asking me if i want to induce.....idk if i want to at 40wks. I'm scared to do it because I heard it hurts a lot more then regular labor 😟..... I'm so confused on what to do 😵. I do want him to come now because the pain on my back and pelvic is killing me 😥. What advice can y'all give me?

There are some more gentle induction techniques (acupuncture, stripping your membranes, etc) that you could try before being medicated. Ask your doctor what alternatives are available to you.

My opinion is if baby hasn't come yet there's a reason. Dr's are so induction happy & not because it's best for mom or baby (usually)- it's more convenient for them. Just know that your risk for interventions, complications, & a c-section are much higher if you induce.

I was induced with all 3 of my children . Water broke but not contractions . I did it with out pain medicine and had a normal delivery . Babies were healthy and I had a great recovery . I'm due tomorrow with number 4 and I'm assuming will probably have to get induced again . Good luck

I'm being induced in the morning due to really low amniotic fluid! We had planned to wait it out and did not want to be induced but unfortunately there is a medical need for baby to come out before more complications happen!! So I don't have much advice for you but you do whatever you feel is right for you and baby!

I was induced due to gestational diabetes.  I was 4 cm when I went in and they broke my water.  I started contractions within 20 minutes.  I wouldn't see why it would be more painful than natural I guess maybe it depends on what method they use.

I chose to be induced because my baby was not moving as much ( heart beat and lungs were golden though ) really was just tired of being pregnant. Hahaha but I went in at 5 pm on September 29th and was induced at 11 pm. Water broke by its self at 1130 pm ( contractions started right away. ) I rode it out for about two- three hours before I called for iv drip ( that only worked for about 30-40 minutes ) than by 5ish am I would say I was pushing. My little man was born at 547 am on the 30th. I was known as the girl that didn't deliver a baby.

Had the baby and I went ahead with the induced labor it was painful but got threw it ☺. Everything was fine he came out with no complications.

Wait!!! Wait as LONG as you can. You're aloud to go to 42 weeks. 
I went to 41 and was induced. Just got induced yesterday and it was horrible.

I had planned an all natural vaginal birth. Not what I got even tho I still tried my hardest.

Just so you know how things could go:

I went in at 6am. Was dilated to a 2-3 and 90% effaced All on my own. 
Started pitocin at about 640. By 9am I was having regular contractions every 2-3 minutes. Dilated to a 5 at this point. Still about 95% effaced. Around 950 they broke my waters. Contractions got to be every minute. Dilated to a 9 (about 12pm). Docs had be push a little to try to get her further into my pelvis and realized she was sunny side up. They made me get an epidural and said it would help relax my body enough to help her turn. Didn't work. I was so mad. The epidural wore off & I got even more mad because I didn't want it in the first place and now it wasn't even working. 
Next thing you know I was being wheeled in for a CSection because "she wasn't ready."
