I'm watching that show right now.. and honestly, I don't feel sorry for people who it happens to.. why try to be in a relationship with someone over the internet/text/phone thay most of the time lives states away? how is that ever going to work? plus knowing how people are cruel and mean and fake anyway.. it's not worth it.

I know people don't understand how this happens to people but it happened to my mother in-law. Her husband died in 1999 from cancer and had only dated one man very shortly since. She finally made a profile on Facebook and shortly after a man who said he was in the army and had a soon, he said he was divorced. She was talking to him everyday but we didn't interfere because she was happier than she has been in a long time and actually getting out of the house doing things. We asked her if she was giving him anything and she said no. After almost 3 months she came to us and said he asked her to marry him and his son was going to be living with her, that we didn't like. After a few weeks we started noticing things going missing from her house and found out she pawned everything she could pawn and sent him the money, he said he wanted to meet her so they could get married and she would pay for the trip his self except he hasn't got his monthly check yet but at soon as he did he would pay her back. We put a stop to it then we changed her cell number, blocked him on Facebook, and reported him. We then had to change her home number because he was calling and begging her to talk to him so we had her tell him that she would if he would pay all the money she sent him back but he said he couldn't do that. Keep in mind my mother-n-law is in her late 60s and on a fixed income. After that she became so depressed and went thru a really bad time but then she met this other woman that was scammed by the same man they became good friends and that seemed to help her. Oh by the way the man she was writing wasn't a man in the army it was a man in his young 20s from the Middle East somewhere.
