putting baby to sleep?

Question

how does everyone put baby to sleep? my son is almost 2 weeks and I've been trying to swaddle at night but he hates it. he wants his arms above his head or he rolls to his side and it makes me nervous cause they say always have baby on back with no loose blankets but I can't get him to sleep longer than 30 minutes if I do that. I'm not sure what to do at this point. any help would be great.

We have the Love to Dream swaddle and it has been a lifesaver!! Our son has hated having his arms confined in a swaddle since he was born. We tried the Velcro swaddles and he would bust out of them and get mad when his arms were held down. The new swaddle zips up or down (2 zippers), is looser around the legs, snug in the belly area and tight enough on the arms so he won't startle but he can still move his arms and hands and get his hands to his mouth. He has just started putting his hands in his mouth, I'm guessing to soothe himself. He is 10 weeks old and we got this swaddle when he was about 4 weeks old.

My baby girl prefers the warmth of my chest... she sleeps when I hold her close to me and gently sway, but it does take a lot of time sometimes... once she falls asleep, I swaddle her gently and put her in the crib...

It's hard, my baby doesn't like the crib, or bassinets. We received a gift from his brother, it's like a rocker/sleeper. We sleeps in that :)

My baby is 2 weeks and she will not sleep in her crib. She will fall asleep on my chest and when I put her down she cries until she's either on my chest or on her stomach.idk what to do :(

Initially, my daughter loved to be swaddled, then she hated it. She's 7 weeks now and we're back to swaddling. She was waking every half hour or so and no one was getting any sleep. It's been 2 days of her being swaddled again and she has slept all night both nights.

My baby liked to turn over and get cumpfy. I let her go and do its. If they have the ability to roll they are gonna do it. When she was able to be comfortable she slept longer. No blankets in the crib though. On a side note, the nurse at the hospital told me not to swaddle in the arms of my baby bc if they choke they use their arms to get whatever it is out. I got scared and never swaddled again

We have a co-sleeping crib. Little girl is 3 weeks today and yesterday was the first time she has slept in it without waking after an hour and wanting to fall asleep on us. Don't forget your baby is still brand new and has only ever known being inside you. Give it time. What are your sleeping arrangements? I know some of my mum friends struggled with beds that were too big for baby so slept them in their pram for the first few weeks

My son is 2.5 weeks and he is the same! I just swaddle his lower body and leave his arms loose so he can pull them out as he pleases it works for me and no loose blankets or worrying about if he's warm enough !! Goodluck !!

My son is 9 weeks and we don't have to do anything. We usually swaddle him so he has an extra layer but he doesn't need it. He falls asleep on his own and we usually wake him up for his next feeding.
