How long does it take birth control pills do get out of your system?

I've been off of BC for a week and a half. My doctor said it only takes 3 days for it to completely get out of your system (so I believe her).

Have any of y'all experienced other lengths of time or was told something else by your doctor??

I went off BC 3 weeks ago, sex drive went up, dropped a few pounds, and no acne came back(thank god since I was on bc since I was 17) I was just worried when I would get my period again because I was usually irregular, but all is well and got it 2 days ago! Also my nipples were erect for like 2 weeks straight after I got off of it (weird I know) but I looked it up and it could be your body going back to its usual thing!

In 2014 I got off birth control after being on it for 9 years and got pregnant 2 weeks later!

I think some of y'all misunderstood what I meant. When I said "3 days," I mean that it only takes that long for the pill to get out of my system to then get pregnant.

It depends on your body really. I was on depo shot for about 2 years. After I quit getting it, I swear it took another 2 years before I felt my cycle was back to normal.

Before the shot I was on the pill for a while. When I stopped that, I felt perfectly normal almost right away.

I'm planning on getting off the pill in July after 10 years. How long did it take to get your period back? I know everyone is different. Did you even have light bleeding between?

It is different for every woman. It also depends on how long you were on them. I've heard of women getting pregnant while taking BC, and I've heard women where it takes them 2 years to conceive after stopping BC, then no issues.

The hormones are probably depleted after 3 days, but your body may take longer to get its act together. It hasn't had to regulate these things on its own with the birth control.
