Has anyone tried castor oil to induce?

Question

I am 40 + 2, and don't feel baby will come anytime soon. 
Has anyone tried taking castor oil? I am afraid of taking it and having to vomit or have diarrhea. I have read things with so many different outcomes..some women saying it worked for them with no side effects, some saying it made them vomit profusely and didn't start labour, and various other comments.

I don't know why everyone is afraid of diharrea. That's what castor oil does. It's a laxative. If you aren't constipated it makes you have diharrea.

I took it a few days ago. I just made sure I drank a ton of water all day so I wouldn't be dehydrated. I pooped for a good three to four hours a LOT. Then got a TON of contractions. But nothing after that. Baby is still here. I don't regret it though cause I was backed up a lot hahaha

I've heard that technique is a bad idea. It can over stimulate the uterus and cause distress. If my doctor isn't suggesting it.. Nope.. Not worth the risk. Baby will come when baby wants to.

I did w first two pregnancies and went into labor within 4 hours. No diarrhea or vomiting. Each person and pregnancy is different. I only took 1.5 tbsp w juice as a chaser. Good luck.

I have tried it and it worked for me. It emptied my tummy n started my labour it even made my labour so fast
