On pill, period returned at the wrong time?

Hi! I am 3 months postpartum. A few weeks ago I went back on the pill. Since I didn't have a period yet, I just started taking it when I got it. Now it seems that my period has returned, but it's not happening at the "right" time, i.e. during the "break" between pill packets. Has that happened to anyone? Do you just continue to take the pill as if nothing has happened or do you have to adjust how you take the pill somehow (like start over with a new pack or something)? Thanks!
