I am really worried, has anyone else had a similar experience? This is my first pregnancy i'm in my 8th week (gestational age) The day before yesterday I went for my first US and they ended up doing a transvaginal one as well as a transabdominal. You could clearly see the gestational sac as well as babe (crown and sac), but they could not detect a heartbeat. My doctor told me other things look normal and it may just have been too early. My sister in law apparently also didn't get a heart beat until she was further along as well. Anyways, the doctor told me not to worry and suggested we test my hcg levels today (Friday) and again Monday and compare the results, as well as schedule another US for two week's time. In addiction, just two hours before I went for the US I had my first spotting - at first red, not much at all, but now just brown and only a little. Any thoughts ladies?
