Did you wait the whole 6 weeks??

How many of you waited the whole 6 weeks to have sex after birth or did some of you do it earlier?

Yes and some. I was scared I would get an infection and it hurt.

I had sex the day before my 6 weeks. So yeah, I did. But, I had sex when I felt ready down there. I didn't hurt down there, but I could tell I wasn't quite ready. My scar felt really tight still. I was worried it was going to take forever to heal since it was still taking so long. But one day it just felt fine.

Yes! I didn't want to risk getting an infection down there! Way too much trauma had happened for me to even wanna go that route

My doc cleared me at 2 weeks advising condoms. I laughed told him my husband has prepared for 6 weeks. I don't think I'll wait the 6 weeks. I am 3 weeks pp and still nervous about trying anything down there lol

At almost 4w i still have visable stiches so yup..

I waited the 6 weeks with my first, but bounced back a lot quicker with my second. I think we did at 3.5 weeks PP, I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks PP. I had two stitches with both. It was totally normal, with no discomfort or pain. I've heard six weeks, but have also heard whenever you're finished bleeding and feel up to it. I know everyone is different though.

My cervix tore pretty bad during delivery, so I am waiting for the okay from the doctor before I have sex. I would hate to get an infection or something that would ruin the chances of me having any more kids.
