Pregnancy surprise announcement?

Any ideas ? Not preg gers yet but when I am I want to surprise the grandparents to be . With Christmas coming up and thanksgiving I was thinking something to do with the holidays.  Any suggestions ladies ?

We are going to be in Ireland over the holidays and had decided if we conceived this month that we would use a photo of him taking a shot of Jameson and me glaring while handing him my shot (it's really cute in my mind and not at all trashy) and underneath it would say "until July, 2016" or whatever.

If Christmas, give them a grandma ornament.

We announced on Christmas with a photo of all the grandkids (between my 2 sisters there was 8 already) and put the pic of the sonogram.

For his mom (it was her 1st grandkid) we bought her a book about grandparenting and wrapped it up for her to discover.

You could also take Christmas photos and have one taken to include in your cards as an announcement.

Thanksgiving is harder but you could always do a shirt that says the pie isn't the only thing in the oven...or something like that.  If your family goes around and does the "what am I thankful for" game you could announce it then.

If you can get a greetings card done, I've seen a cool idea of a photo where mum and dad stand next to each other (think the photo is mostly of Their legs and feet) and in front of them (on the pavement/sidewalk) is written in chalk the year of their birth and next to them is a pair of baby shoes with the expectant year. Go and do a search on Pinterest...loads of ideas.

I just found out I'm pregnant and was going to tell them around Christmas. I'm going to buy "How to babysit Grandma" and " How to babysit Grandpa books with the ultrasound pictures inside :)

If we were to conceive this month this is what I would do.  We got married in June.. So I created a picture book on mixbook.com and put photos from the wedding in it.. And on the last 2 pages would be this and put the ultrasound picture on the right side.   We would show our parents "our wedding book" asap but then at Christmas we would show the book to the rest of the family/friends

Just got my BFP today. Ive had two miscarriages since ttc so I wanna wait a while before telling anyone. I think Christmas I should be 12wks aNd want to tell my family in a special way. Any suggestions?
