34 weeks exactly with twins

Been in the hospital since 9am Thursday with contractions 3 to 4 mins apart... My twins(boy/girl) lungs aren't fully developed so I was given two steroid shots to help there lungs... My doctor wants me to hold out til next week... Because I'm only dilated 1cm and not dilating anymore...But every medication  that I was given to stop contractions isn't working... I'm in so much pain and miserable... Has anyone had this problem??
