Just going to throw my opinion out there for everyone to know, because I cannot stand the ignorance that is flying around with this topic. The only people who deserve a raise are those who do something that contributes to society. These people include anyone who puts their lives in danger for anothers safety or those who bust their asses. It is not hard to put yourself through schooling and if you say it is you obviously either gave up or were to fucking lazy to look for options. You could have gone to a trade school and started your job off right away. You could also try to get loans, grants, or scholarships. If you have to get a second or third job to assist with paying for your schooling then do it. Do not whine and complain about your current living situation if you are doing nothing to improve it. You do not need the latest version of the iphone, or you brand new shoes, or your weekly trips to the nail salon. Cut down on your expenses and only pay for the necessities. Places such as UPS higher new employees all the time, manage to pay part time workers $10.10 an hour and medical, dental, and vision benefits. If you are willing to put in the amount of effort it takes to get a good paying job, you wouldn't be sitting here complaining about how you deserve $15 an hour for flipping burgers and getting your feelings hurt because someone got angry that you got there order wrong.
