How long does bleeding last?

I'm trying to TTC again. But I do gotta wait until my bleeding clears up. How long does it take for it to clear up and how long until you get your period? My baby was taken out at the emergency department. So no surgery was involved.

I had a d&c 3 days ago. I'm only spotting now. I was 15+6 but baby only measure 12+3. My doctor said I can expect my period in 6-8 weeks because even though my baby had stopped growing, my body missed it and I was technically still pregnant. It's so confusing and weird. Anyway, they recommended I wait at least one cycle before trying again because while the chances of pregnancy are increased, the chance of a miscarriage is also increased. However, I have read that getting pregnant within 6 months of a miscarriage actually increases your chances of having a healthy pregnancy so that gives me hope. My husband and I plan to wait til my period arrives and then see how we feel. Right now we both feel ready to try again as soon it is safe. Good luck to you!

I had a D&C 2 days ago and have only been spotting brown because they said they "really cleaned it all out." I don't know when the spotting will stop or how long it will take for my period to return. It depends on your hormone levels, how far along you were, and your own body. Everyone is totally different.
