Anemia?

Has anyone done their glucose test and have that be normal, but found out your anemic? Just wondering how common it is with all you ladies?

Yep same here, on iron tablets. Feel so much better since I've started, had extreme exhaustion and a foggy head, tingling fingers and feet, plus was getting out of breath so easily. Thought it was just third time of being pregnant but turns out it was quite bad anemia. Also explains my cravings to eat toothpaste! Craving non food (pica) is a sign of anemia apparently. I had severe morning sickness which can increase anemia.

They found out by hemoglobin and iron levels were low. I have to take iron pills and everyone keeps telling me they're going to make me really constipated lol. Not happy....

Yea went of my appointment today. My glucose test when well but i was told my iron and haemoglobin levels were low and was prescribed iron pills but was said that i was anemic.

Not anemic but low and was told to take slow Fe supplements for both of my pregnancies.

Last week, I found out I'm anemic as well. Last labs at 12 weeks were fine. Added iron supplements 3x daily starting about five days ago. I didn't think I was feeling badly before, but the last two days I've noticed a huge jump in my energy and I have color in my face again! I hadn't realized how pale I had become...especially my lips.
Guess I needed the extra iron, but I'm a little worried about how it's going to add to my already unbearable constipation!

I have mild anemia but found out before the glucose test. They have me take 1 iron pill in addition to my prenatal and told me to add more iron rich foods into my diet.

Yes! I just got my results back and passed the 1 hour glucose test but I'm anemic and my blood platelet count is low so I have to see a hematologist and go pick up my prescription for iron pills after work. I thought my prenatals would suffice for the iron I need but I guess not.
