Last night my husband and I went in to the ER because I was bleeding and had heavy cramping. I have had 4 miscarriages prior to this, so I was extremely worried!

I am ten weeks today.

They would not give me a sono, because I have already had one at my drs at 6 weeks and that proves I am not having a tubal pregnancy. They would not check for a heart beat because, "they aren't very good at it and might miss it"

They did do a cervical exam and told me, yes you are bleeding. Duh I knew that.

I asked them to call the baby place at this hospital to see if they could give me answers, they said no because I'm not 20 weeks.

Dr came in and said its most likely a miscarriage because of your history, but I'm not gonna give you a sono to be sure..

Can a hospital really do that?
