What ideology do you follow, and why?

I personally am an Egalitarian, with a slight leaning towards helping more men and boys get their issues recognized, discussed, and validated. How about you?

I feel like this poll is claiming feminism only includes women's issues and is insinuating the view that feminists hate men which isn't true. True feminism is about equality. Is that vain, I am a feminist.

Men's rights? You mean the ones that they already have? Men's rights aren't in danger I don't believe. Just because women want to be equal to men doesn't mean men's rights have been diminished.

I'd say I'm a humanitarian.

I'm egalitarian, because while I do care about women's rights for obvious reasons, I also do not believe in everything feminism says or does. I prefer to help men just as much as women, not one over the other.

Before anyone starts yelling at me about how "feminists don't hate men" and "feminism is for everyone"...I assure you I already know many (but definitely not all) feminists try to be intersectional and also have men in their lives they care about. But there's too much in feminism I disagree with, like the current "yes means yes" laws, concepts of how all men are privileged and all women are oppressed, "the patriarchy", and numerous other aspects of the ideology. Not saying everyone's experiences are the same, or that individual women haven't had to deal with sexism!

I kinda just think that if feminism truly *was* about making equality for everyone, then we'd see feminists doing fundraising to open domestic violence shelters for men and their children, speaking out against mgm, affirmative action, and helping to get more support for male suicide relief or male sexual assault/rape survivors.

Again, I *know* there are some feminists out there who are doing this! But it is still not something I see the majority doing in the media. When I was in college (a highly liberal, uber-feminist friendly one) I was told "feminism can indirectly help men, but it is predominantly about helping women" or "the need for work on men's rights via feminism will begin only after everything is equal for women". I just can't agree with that, so am not a feminist but an egalitarian instead.

I'm not really sure what ideology means even after I looked it up lol but based on the choices for the poll I'm gonna say mines animal rights? If I'm completely off on what ideology means please don't make fun of me lol but I'm a huge animal rights activist I honestly don't really care about people that much lol that sounds so bad

So people keep saying that feminism is about both men and women...if that's true, then why is it called feminism? That's specifically directed toward favor for women. Why not just simply call it "equality", for what it is...?
